We’re pleased to announce the launch this week of the 2009 Macmillan Interactive Webinars season. What are webinars? The word comes from a combination of “web” and “seminar”, and that’s essentially what they are – online seminars. We will be broadcasting a series of live workshops, delivered by some of the best-known names in ELT. You’ll be able to watch the live video of the presenter, along with their slides, and even ask them questions via a chat facility. You can view these online, directly in your web browser. And the best part – they are all 100% free to view. Click on this link to view the timetable, and to register for the webinars.

IATEFL 2009 is nearly upon us, and with it the 2009 CLIL Debate. The debate is being hosted by Macmillan Education, in association with the Guardian Weekly, Onestopclil and Onestopenglish. This will be a landmark event, with a distinguished panel discussing the pressing issue “CLIL: Complementing or Compromising English Language Teaching”. Even if you’re not attending IATEFL 2009, you’ll be able to contribute to the discussion about the issues on the Onestopclil website.
